What You'll Do
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of production employees on the 2nd shift.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules, quality specifications, and company policies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap rates, and attendance.
- Congduct regular safety meetings and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality, logistics) to optimize production flow.
- Perform performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to direct reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure proper setup and operation of machinery and equipment.
- Report daily production metrics and issues to management.
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- A strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean manufacturing, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to troubleshoot production problems and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- The ability to work the 2nd shift schedule reliably.
- A proven ability to motivate and develop a team.
