About the role
Lead and manage a 2nd shift team of 5 direct reports, including 1 welder, 1 break press operator, and 3 non-union assemblers.
Responsibilities
- Drive key performance metrics across production, quality, and safety to ensure operational excellence
- Oversee all hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions for the shift team
- Motivate and develop team members to foster a high-performance work environment
- Streamline production line processes to maximize efficiency and reduce waste
- Uphold and enforce manufacturing standards across all shift operations
- Champion continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance overall operational performance
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Demonstrated hands-on sheet metal experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
- BS degree preferred
