2nd Shift Production Lead

Summary of Primary Functions

We direct and coordinate production activities for company precast/prestressed products managed by designated crews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and quality rules to ensure a safe work environment and high-quality product production.
• Plans, directs, and supervises production activities of designated production crews.
• Establishes production priorities for crews considering operations and cost factors.
• Collaborates with procurement, maintenance, quality control, and engineering/drafting teams to optimize production and product quality.
• Reviews operational and quality reports to identify and resolve nonconformities and operational issues.
• Oversees bed leaders during regular operations and safety meetings.
• Participates in pre-production meetings to discuss new products.
• Oversees bed leaders and production level II employees in teaching new hires and ongoing training.
• Solves grievances and disagreements within designated crews or refers issues to plant manager and/or HR.
• Consults with engineering/drafting personnel on machine, equipment, and product modifications to enhance operations and quality.
• Reviews, edits, and approves subordinate employees' time records in IFS.
• Conducts regular performance reviews of subordinates and oversees vacation and absence approvals.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of two years experience in precast operations and supervision is required.
