Position Summary
Mentors trains and assists other maintenance associates on the troubleshooting and repair of equipment and the performance of other maintenance tasks.
What you'll do...
- Prepares work orders, records logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
- Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, cranes, robotics, electronic, and electrical equipment, according to company policies and procedures.
- Reads and understands blueprints, procedures, diagrams, schematics, sketches, and other written, electronic, or verbal instructions to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Ledges and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating and executing work assignments, providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved, and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.
- Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, analyzing and applying information from multiple sources, monitoring progress and results, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (for example, forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment).
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment within spaces as narrow as 18 inches and at heights of 80-100 feet, with or without an established platform and within the weight requirements specified by equipment manufacturers.
- Prior work experience using Microsoft Office applications (for example, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Prior work experience using diagnostic tools (for example, volt/ohm/amp meters, analog and digital meters).
Preferred Qualifications
- Course work or certification in welding, electrical, mechanical automation, or industrial electronics.
