2nd Shift Packer Handler

About the role

The packer/handler position involves inspecting and packaging products according to Amcor Corporation quality standards and guidelines. This role requires maintaining a safe and organized work environment, inspecting products for quality, and responding promptly to any quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Inspect product to ensure quality, set aside substandard items, and report quality issues to leads and supervisors
• Watch molds for irregularities or sticking, and respond to production interruptions by cleaning up and performing other assigned tasks
• Complete assembly of product by installing gaskets and handles, and stack and pack items according to customer and order specifications
• Prepare product identification and packaging labels, and assist with material handling and other tasks as needed
• Accurately complete required paperwork and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

• Able to keep up with fast-paced production cycles
• Able to tolerate constant repetition and maintain consistent attention to detail
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds safely
• Able to identify alpha/numeric product codes
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime

Preferred Skills & Abilities

• Previous production experience
• Good reading, writing, and communication skills
