About the role
The Packer position is integral to the final stages of production, focusing on packing finished printed materials to meet customer specifications while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the main Cutter Operator to follow provided instructions for form/batch cuts.
- Secure correct boxes for packing products based on identified quantities and types of stock.
- Off-load products from cutter tables and ensure order stickers are visible for delivery.
- Conduct initial inspections to ensure quality control and track inventory by physically counting product orders.
- Accurately and safely box completed jobs and notify quality control teammates/supervisors when boxes are ready for inspection.
- Maintain organized materials and replenish supplies as needed, including boxes, tape guns, filling, chipboard dividers, markers, and others.
- Place boxes in appropriate and safe floor locations under/near the packing table.
- Maintain bins and relocate them to the back lot for recycling when full.
- Ensure set-up is complete for shift changes and report all injuries, illnesses, and near-misses to management immediately.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and complete and maintain required records and paperwork as needed.
- Perform regular housekeeping duties in assigned and surrounding areas.
- Attend all department/company meetings as needed.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other assigned duties as directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency, preferred; or one to three months related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to new technologies, and ability to manage multiple print jobs efficiently.
- Precision in monitoring print jobs and attention to detail for quality control.
- Effective communication skills, foundational math skills, and ability to perform basic operations.
- Constant or frequent standing, walking, squatting, stopping, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and kneeling.

- Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to ensure all details meet the required standards.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and verbal instructions in English.
- Foundation Math Skills: Ability to perform basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Detail-Oriented: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in managing time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately.

Pay
$16.00 to $18.00 hourly, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, or similar, based on business needs.
