PACKER 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Performs work in a safe manner to assure protection of self and others.
• Becomes familiar with department safety equipment, rules and their necessity.
• Removes all trays from the packing table in the prescribed manner.
• Is knowledgeable of tray quality and discards sub-quality trays.
• Informs the Lead Operator or Supervisor of any noticeable change in quality.
• Maintains an accurate count of bags packed.
• Maintains an accurate tray count per bag.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient mathematical skills.
• The ability to systematically work through problems.
• The ability to work with deadlines individually or as part of a team.
