2nd Shift - Maintenance Generalist - Eufaula Feed Mill (Banks, AL)

LOCATION: 498 County Road 4434, Banks, AL 36005

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
• Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
• Comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs without supervision
• Diagnose and repair equipment independently
• Start all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
• Assist other mechanics as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work environment includes temperature variations with outside ambient conditions, dust, humidity, and physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and ladder/scaffold use. Lifting up to 70 lbs may be required. Safety toe boots rated for 75 lbs must be worn at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program (or a combination of experience and education to meet the 2-year requirement)
