3rd Shift Maintenance Generalist - Eufaula Further Processing Plant

Job Details

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
• Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
• Must comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
• Able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs
• Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
• Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
• Able to assist with other mechanics as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity
• The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds
• Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs
• Required to wear a safety toe boot that can withstand 75lbs at all times

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of industrial maintenance training program or combination of experience and education to meet the 2 – year requirement

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical
• Proficiency in reading and writing, ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels
