2nd shift Journeyworker Electrician

About the role

Reporting to the Liquid Value Stream AR Supervisor, this position will perform Planned, Project, and Emergency repairs of Production and Facility Equipment. Responsibilities include completing general work orders in SAP, performing routine preventive maintenance on equipment, and interfacing with other technicians, contractors, and engineers across 3 shifts in a team environment.

The individual may be required to preassemble equipment for upcoming projects (such as building electrical panels), order parts, and adhere to timelines for work completion. There is a possibility of travel to other manufacturing and packaging sites within and outside of Allegan.

Responsibilities

• Complete general work orders in SAP
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Interface with technicians, contractors, and engineers across 3 shifts
• Preassemble equipment for upcoming projects (e.g., building electrical panels)
• Order parts and adhere to work completion timelines
• Mentor apprentices
• Work from ladders, lifts, and perform heavy lifting

Requirements

• Ability to complete Electrical Apprenticeship through the State of Michigan
• Preferred: Certificate of completion as an Electrical Journey Worker, licensed with the State of Michigan
• High School Diploma required
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability working in a team environment and fostering good relationships
• Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills
• Strong computer and math skills
• Ability to read and work from blueprints
• Demonstrated commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
• Own transportation is required
• History of good attendance

Protective Equipment Requirement

Individual must be able to wear negative and/or positive pressure respirators, possibly for long periods, and be medically cleared to wear respirators without restrictions.
