Journey-Level Maintenance Electrician (Second Shift)

About the Role

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our 1.5 million sq. ft. Distribution Center in Lodi, CA. The Distribution Center supports both retail and foodservice customers, labeling, casing, and shipping approximately 50 million cases nationwide annually. This role is part of a seniority-based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and requires availability for second and occasional third shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Qualify as a journey-level Electrician and work closely with Head and/or Lead Electricians to align maintenance and repair efforts with production goals.
• Organize and direct crews on label lines, ensuring all equipment (e.g., label machines, automatic casers) remains operational through repairs, adjustments, cleaning, and oiling.
• Perform and oversee routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality quickly.
• Under the direction of a Head or Lead Electrician, lead, mentor, train, and supervise Mechanics, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Check materials and parts, and make requisitions.
• Lay out and work from blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and drawings.
• Cut and form parts, assemble machinery and equipment, and locate, line up, and anchor machinery.
• Test and time machinery.
• Perform welding, including heliarc and stainless steel.
• May occasionally operate machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Available to work second shift (3:30 PM to midnight) and weekends as needed.
• Reliable with excellent attendance.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial experience.
• Committed to safety and food safety, including proper use of PPE.
• Must possess and use personal hand tools.
• Basic fabrication capabilities and fundamental knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC systems.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Certified ability to operate/drive a forklift (industrial lift truck).
• Ability to create and review machine drawings and schematics.

Pay

$41.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities available.

Schedule

Full-time, second shift (40 hours per week), with occasional weekend and overtime hours required. Must be available for third shift as needed.
