Responsibilities
- Support the plant's food safety culture and comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements applicable to the position.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot temperature/pressure and flow devices for both field indicators and sending devices to PLCs.
- Modify PLC logic for process changes and improvements.
- Read, understand, and create corrective action work orders when required.
- Utilize, respond to, and document all scheduled and unscheduled work orders in the DirectLine CMMS system.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution and protection circuits up to 480VAC.
- Execute work in a safe and expedient manner according to priorities.
- Perform emergency corrective maintenance daily and respond to call-ins.
- Execute capital and maintenance projects.
- Audit preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Perform routine corrective maintenance.
- Provide practical solutions to operations problems.
- Inspect and test elements of electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults.
- Perform required repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or re-wiring of circuits in accordance with industry codes.
- If certified, safely operate, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting of high-pressure black seal boiler system in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Scope, estimate, and execute small capital/maintenance projects along with maintenance manager, project director, operations, etc.
- Analyze test results for irregularities and document irregularities in maintenance log.
- Train other employees considering their needs and company needs.
- Reduce the likelihood of an interruption of electrical power to critical operations by monitoring and repairing regulated power supplies to computer systems and equipment requiring constant voltage with minimal fluctuation.
- Oversee the work by contractors as required on site to ensure safe and quality performance.
- Promote preventative maintenance as a strategy in maintaining electronic test equipment and mechanical tools by keeping accurate records.
- Look for opportunities to help work get done safer, faster, and more cost effective.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs to manufacturing equipment as needed.
Schedule
1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
