About the role

A heavy-duty vehicle mechanic responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Diesel and CNG fleet vehicles to ensure safety and road readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair operational issues with diesel trucks, hydraulics, and specialized equipment.
  • Perform routine and complex maintenance on diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles.
  • Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner system, ensuring parts availability.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as work orders and reports accurately.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
  • Assist in reviewing equipment write-ups, scheduling repairs, and training new staff.
  • Maintain personal tools and uphold a clean work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; technical diploma in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • At least 1 year of diesel mechanic experience.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn diagnostic software.
  • Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria.

Physical & Work Conditions

  • Frequent physical activity including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Work environment includes loud noises, moving parts, vibration, and exposure to chemicals and weather conditions.
