About the role
A heavy-duty vehicle mechanic responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Diesel and CNG fleet vehicles to ensure safety and road readiness.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair operational issues with diesel trucks, hydraulics, and specialized equipment.
- Perform routine and complex maintenance on diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles.
- Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner system, ensuring parts availability.
- Complete administrative tasks such as work orders and reports accurately.
- Ensure safety and compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
- Assist in reviewing equipment write-ups, scheduling repairs, and training new staff.
- Maintain personal tools and uphold a clean work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; technical diploma in diesel mechanics preferred.
- At least 1 year of diesel mechanic experience.
- Computer literacy and ability to learn diagnostic software.
- Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria.
Physical & Work Conditions
- Frequent physical activity including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Work environment includes loud noises, moving parts, vibration, and exposure to chemicals and weather conditions.
