2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel vehicles
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
  • Use onboard vehicle diagnostic systems to interpret failure codes and adjust engine/vehicle control modules
  • Respond to road calls and conduct emergency repairs
  • Review and complete repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
  • Document work using fleet maintenance software
  • Test-drive vehicles after repairs
  • Support teammates with complex repairs
  • Interact professionally with drivers
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop environment compliant with OSHA standards
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as needed

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with diesel truck diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs
  • Hydraulic system experience (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Class A preferred)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician

Pay

Competitive Pay: $30–$35/hr DOE
