Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel vehicles
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
- Use onboard vehicle diagnostic systems to interpret failure codes and adjust engine/vehicle control modules
- Respond to road calls and conduct emergency repairs
- Review and complete repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
- Document work using fleet maintenance software
- Test-drive vehicles after repairs
- Support teammates with complex repairs
- Interact professionally with drivers
- Maintain a clean and safe shop environment compliant with OSHA standards
- Perform additional maintenance duties as needed
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with diesel truck diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Hydraulic system experience (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Class A preferred)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician
