About the role

The 2nd shift Customer Logistics Manager in Brownstown, MI is responsible for overseeing daily driver operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of customer freight. This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers, balancing operational performance with driver satisfaction while meeting customer logistics requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily driver operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of customer freight.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, balancing operational performance with driver satisfaction while meeting customer logistics requirements.
  • Perform administrative duties such as staffing performance management and development of exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling.
  • Monitor Hours of Service (HOS), driver logs, and vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Manage Health and Safety Management.
  • Perform off-shift support in the event of critical customer network disruptions or crises.
  • Make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Multi-task, be highly organized, and manage time effectively.
  • Be detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
  • Have proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations.
  • Have strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
  • One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Logistics industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
  • Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing and Production.

Pay

Annual Salary Pay: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year based on experience.

Schedule

2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2:00 pm- 11:00 pm
