Summary

Check material requirement to meet seat production plan and compare with on hand inventory and in transit status. Communicate with related suppliers to ensure there is no shortage that will stop production.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and establish K/D/LP material plans.
  • Maintain appropriate material inventory.
  • Analyze and verify seat production plans.
  • Ensure physical and computerized receiving quantities match.
  • Manage suppliers' material lead times.
  • Analyze customer production plans and manage progress.
  • Communicate with customers to meet their requirements.
  • Support TGPS or SAP for any issues or new implementations of SAP MM module.
  • Maintain 5S principles to keep work sites clean and orderly.
  • Collaborate with team members, leaders, and other members of Hyundai Transys.
  • Follow quality policies and standards, such as ISO 9001, TS16949, IATF16949.
  • Attend required training as assigned.
  • Comply with and promote company practices and policies in all areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication.
  • Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to sit, stand, bend at the knees and waist, and walk. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. Required to bend at the knees and waist. Required to use hands to type, handle objects, boxes, equipment, tools and paperwork. Required to raise arms overhead to work, reach, and carry. Required to use close vision, peripheral vision, focus and see colors as required to read equipment and material labels, color-coded inventory, computer terminal screens, etc. Will be required to wear safety Personal Protective Equipment for eyes, face, head, feet, hearing, hands, and arms. Ability to work extended hours, overtime and/or weekends as required. Ability to travel domestic US and/or international if needed. The employee generally works in warehouse and indoor office environments but occasionally works outside, in all types of weather and on uneven terrain.

Technical Skills Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all suppliers.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Strong ability to quickly prioritize situations and mitigate all issues.
  • Proficient skills in math, reading and writing.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong computer skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Strong SAP experience required.

Education

Average or Bachelor's degree in Production Control, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred.

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years + progressive experience in the Production/Material Control field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or equivalent experience.
