2nd Shift Custodian

12-month hourly employee, 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am).

About the role

Responsible for cleaning areas assigned by the Night Foreman. Maintains security in housekeeping areas and performs building set-ups for rentals, school activities, and continuing education. Assists with snow removal operations and maintains Fixed Asset records, including additions, replacements, and disposals.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas as directed by the Night Foreman
• Replace fluorescent and incandescent lamps in assigned areas
• Maintain security in housekeeping areas
• Perform building set-ups for rentals, school activities, and continuing education
• Assist with snow removal operations
• Maintain Fixed Asset records (additions, replacements, and disposals)
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Night Foreman, Building and Grounds Manager, or Director of Purchasing & Facilities

Requirements

• Familiarity with equipment used in maintenance of tile floors and carpet
• Safety habits, skills, and insight while performing custodial work
• Knowledgeable in all areas of housekeeping
• Ability to understand instructions and perform assigned tasks physically

Working Conditions

Works under the supervision of the Foreman, Building and Grounds Manager, and Director of Purchasing and Facilities.
