About the role
Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC (MD&A), a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified CNC Machinist to join our growing Repairs Division in St. Louis, MO on the 2nd shift. MD&A offers a competitive base salary with significant opportunity for incentive compensation.
Responsibilities
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances utilizing math skills.
- Use in-house work tracking software to effectively capture labor hours on specific jobs.
- Maintain assigned machine tools and related equipment according to the daily maintenance schedule.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Operate Mazak, Haas, Siemens, and Fanuc controls.
- Design set-ups based on blueprint requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work 2nd shift from 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
- Experience with one or more of the following machine tools: Horizontal Mill, Horizontal Lathe, Vertical Mill, or Vertical Turret Lathe.
- Experience with CNC and/or manual machine tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to achieve intended objectives.
- Ability to read and use quality control tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
- Knowledge of shop math, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Willingness to work overtime during busy periods and off-shift as needed.
