2nd Shift Care Staff

Calyx Living is seeking energetic 2nd Shift Care Staff for our assisted living community in North Durham, located off the Eno River and minutes from Duke University, the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, and downtown Durham's vibrant entertainment district.

About the role

2nd Shift Care Staff assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs, including:

• Monitoring self-administration of medication
• Ensuring resident hygiene
• Obtaining and recording residents' vital signs
• Maintaining safety of residents
• Completing incident reports
• Assisting with meal services
• Observing residents for any changes in conditions

Must have a "safety first" attitude towards all residents and staff.

Requirements

• Caregiver experience strongly preferred
• Compassion and a desire to work with seniors
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families
• Strong sense of maturity
• Ability to adapt to each resident and setting
• Trustworthy and attentive
• 18 years or older
• Must be available to work weekends
