2nd Machine Helper

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stages, prepares, lifts, and loads materials and other components required for the production process;
• Utilizes a computerized, mechanical, or automatic process to lift and/or load materials;
• Maintains and adjusts gauges, valves, switches, pumps, and other components according to production requirements;
• Fulfills roles in monitoring and adjusting production processes;
• Lifts and prepares items required for the filling, labeling, packaging, and transporting of products;
• Operates a variety of computerized, manual, and mechanical equipment to process, unload, label, pack, and store work-in-progress and finished goods;
• Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations;
• Completes appropriate paperwork and/or enters data regarding materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and other operations to ensure records and actions are accurate;
• Assists with maintaining a clean and safe working environment and may perform various janitorial or housekeeping tasks;
• Communicates with maintenance, quality control, warehousing, and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment and to ensure quality products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED;
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred;
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters;
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy;
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate;
• Able to apply concepts of high school math;
• Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities;
• Product layouts and production specifications;
• Product quality specifications;
• Quality standards.

Qualifications

• May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

BASE PAY: $18/hourly
