About the role
This is a full-time role at St. Jerome Academy in Hyattsville, Maryland for the 2026-27 school year. The position reports to the Principal.
Responsibilities
- Teach second-grade curriculum
- Support student development in reading, writing, mathematics, and other subjects
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching license in Maryland
- Experience teaching second grade preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
