2nd Class Stationary Engineer

About the role

This is a 3rd shift position.

Responsibilities

• Aid in evaluating the needs of all scheduled and non-scheduled work requests and special projects.
• Respond personally to emergency requests and complete repairs.
• Assist in monitoring and operating the building BMS system.
• Use power tools and fall protection equipment.
• Maintain HVAC equipment and conduct troubleshooting and testing.
• Evaluate new equipment and ideas to maximize efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

• MA 1st Class Engineer License Required.
• Follow company and customer rules and guidelines.
• Understand written and verbal job instructions.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and lift and transport equipment more than 200 lbs., with others.
• Be physically able to work alone, climb stairs, and work off ladders, staging, lifts, etc.
• Work in confined spaces, stoops, and bends for long periods of time, and work on hands and knees and other uncomfortable positions for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Observant which requires seeing, hearing, and smelling.
• Physically able to work alone.

Skills

• Power Tools (Hand Grinders, Saws, Impact Wrenches, Drill Press, Hydraulic Pullers).
• Fall Protection Equipment.
• Building Management System (BMS) operations.
• Equipment troubleshooting and testing.
• New equipment evaluation and idea implementation.

Pay

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role. The compensation for the position is: $48.49 - $57.05.
