Stationary Engineer II

Role Overview

The Stationary Engineer II is responsible for operating and maintaining key plant equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and air compressors. They perform preventive maintenance, conduct routine inspections, take shift readings, and test water quality to ensure optimal plant operation. The role supports water management and collaborates with maintenance, electrical, and instrumentation teams to maintain plant efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment such as chillers, boilers, and pumps.
• Ensure water quality by following prescribed procedures and maintaining proper chemistry.
• Support delivery of chilled water and steam generation.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with plant leadership and operational staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and at heights.
• At least 2 years of experience in a plant environment involving mechanical, electrical, controls, or operations roles related to chilled water, steam, or electricity production.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including chilled water, steam, and pumping systems.
• Experience logging equipment data and meter readings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stationary Engineers License.
• Experience with mechanical maintenance on chiller and boiler systems.
