Stationary Engineer II

About the role

The Stationary Engineer II role operates and maintains equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and air compressors in the assigned facility. This position also involves preventive maintenance, routine inspections, sample taking, and water quality testing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure water quality at assigned plants by executing prescribed water management procedures and maintaining proper plant chemistry.
• Operate and maintain facility equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, air compressors, and cooling towers.
• Support plant staff and leadership in the delivery of chilled water and steam generation.
• Work directly with the operations manager to identify, plan, and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, controls, or operations roles as needed.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and forced overtime.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a confined space and at various heights.
• Two years of experience in a plant environment producing chilled water, steam, or electricity, performing mechanical, electrical, controls, or operations roles.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including chilled water, steam, and pumping systems.
• Experience entering equipment logs and meter readings into spreadsheets.

Qualifications

Stationary Engineers License preferred, but not required.

Skills

Strong mechanical systems understanding, ability to read and interpret blueprints, and proficiency in operating and maintaining plant equipment.

Pay

Expected hourly range of $30.72 to $34.13, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Schedule

12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and forced overtime.
