Essential Job Responsibilities
- Analyzes and interprets terms and conditions of oil and gas leases, contracts, conveyances, and other documents relating to company’s assets.
- Documents, monitors, and maintains necessary land and contract information into company’s land maintenance computer system.
- Identifies and documents actual holdings of company in terms of acreage and percentage of ownership in properties.
- Reviews, monitors, and assists in coordination of Rental Recommendations and Special Obligation Reports, taking appropriate action to maintain asset base.
- Reviews, re-formats to company specifications, and maintains an inventory of all land related files, with exception of division order files, for assets acquired by the company.
- Communicates with brokers, landowners, and state and federal agencies regarding company assets.
- Creates, modifies, and provides land reports.
Qualifications
- Five (5)+ years lease analysis experience, preferably with producing properties.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
- Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Ability to anticipate approaching problems and establish strategic plans for future success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong ability to utilize a variety of analytical techniques to identify and solve problems.
- Able to be consistent, dependable, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities to a successful conclusion.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required - Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint), Oil and Gas related land software. Preferred - Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Access, Quorum and SAP Software.
Education Requirements
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college, or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- PREFERRED: CPLTA certification.
