The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a full-time teacher for the 2026-27 school year.

About the role

This position is located at Dyer Kelly and is open for one position. The position is permanent and comes with a salary range of $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, the maximum placement is Column 4/Step 11.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of subjects to students in grades K-8
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff
• Participate in professional development and meetings

Requirements

• Valid California teaching credential
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Experience working with students in grades K-8
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in education or related field preferred
• Experience with special education students
• Experience with counseling, social work, or teacher librarian roles
