Essential Job Functions

  • Provide professional development to support the design and implementation of interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates career and technology education with traditional academic subjects.
  • Oversee/support the implementation of ICAP and Graduation Pathway work at the school site and provide feedback to improve ICAP and Graduation Pathway services provided to students.
  • Provide professional development to develop lesson plans and instructional materials that incorporate career and technology competencies.
  • Oversee the integration of career and technology programs into existing academic frameworks.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of integrated programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide training and support for educators on best practices for integrating career and technology education into their teaching.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and professional learning opportunities for staff.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and learning opportunities for students.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industry professionals, and community organizations to enhance educational programs and provide real-world experiences for students.
  • Facilitate internships, mentorships, and other experiential learning opportunities in collaboration with industry partners.
  • Assist in developing career exploration and technology education resources for students.
  • Provide guidance and support for students in selecting career paths and pursuing relevant educational opportunities.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the impact of career and technology integration on student learning and career readiness.
  • Provide/oversee individualized career counseling to help students identify their interests, strengths, and career goals.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of a system framework for College and Career Exploration for grades 9-12.
  • Analyze and present workplace data.
  • Complete SREB surveys with fidelity and present findings to site leadership.
  • Utilize and interpret career assessment tools and inventories to help students make informed decisions about their career and educational choices.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date resources such as career guides, technology toolkits, and job market trends to support student learning and career planning.
  • Use feedback and assessment data to make informed adjustments to programs and support services, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of students.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to track program success and student outcomes.
  • Oversee and monitor the financial aspects impacting student success in career technology coursework/programs.
  • Stay current with trends and advancements in career and technology education.
  • Introduce new strategies and technologies to enhance program effectiveness and relevance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Designee.

Qualifications

Current Oklahoma Teacher Certificate
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field from college/university recognized by State Board of Education
Training or experience required: 2 years of teaching experience in Career Tech; Administrative experience preferred
