Job Summary And Purpose
This position works in support of a comprehensive career and technical education program. The Coordinator participates in curriculum development and staff development.
Work Objectives/Essential Functions
- Provide instructional leadership for Career and Technical Education programs.
- Promote co-curricular student organizations.
- Provide targeted assistance and resources to classroom teachers to ensure high-quality program delivery and student engagement.
- Cook up the development, implementation, and revision of assigned course curriculum and instructional resources.
- Conduct and coordinate in-service training for Career and Technical Educational teachers.
- Work individually with Career and Technical Education teachers and Communities of Practice to improve instruction.
- Provide effective public relations and communication within the program and community.
- Make regular and upon request on-site classroom visits.
- Serve on the Stafford School’s Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee.
Education and Experience
- Education Attainment (Required): Bachelor's degree
- Education Attainment (Preferred): Masters degree
- Relevant Experience (Required): Three (3) years of successful teaching in a secondary classroom experience
- Relevant Experience (Preferred): Industry Licensure or Certifications
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of varied curriculum delivery systems
- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs at both the local and state levels
- Knowledge of Instructional technology applications
- Possess leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, staff, parents, community, and business leaders
- Coordinate solutions and solve any issues that may arise
- Work cooperatively in a team environment to meet goals
- Organize and perform work independently
- Meet deadlines for all work even when working on multiple projects
- Show sustained effort and enthusiasm in quality and quantity of work
