Job Summary And Purpose

This position works in support of a comprehensive career and technical education program. The Coordinator participates in curriculum development and staff development.

Work Objectives/Essential Functions

  • Provide instructional leadership for Career and Technical Education programs.
  • Promote co-curricular student organizations.
  • Provide targeted assistance and resources to classroom teachers to ensure high-quality program delivery and student engagement.
  • Cook up the development, implementation, and revision of assigned course curriculum and instructional resources.
  • Conduct and coordinate in-service training for Career and Technical Educational teachers.
  • Work individually with Career and Technical Education teachers and Communities of Practice to improve instruction.
  • Provide effective public relations and communication within the program and community.
  • Make regular and upon request on-site classroom visits.
  • Serve on the Stafford School’s Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee.

Education and Experience

  • Education Attainment (Required): Bachelor's degree
  • Education Attainment (Preferred): Masters degree
  • Relevant Experience (Required): Three (3) years of successful teaching in a secondary classroom experience
  • Relevant Experience (Preferred): Industry Licensure or Certifications

  • Knowledge of varied curriculum delivery systems
  • Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs at both the local and state levels
  • Knowledge of Instructional technology applications
  • Possess leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, staff, parents, community, and business leaders
  • Coordinate solutions and solve any issues that may arise
  • Work cooperatively in a team environment to meet goals
  • Organize and perform work independently
  • Meet deadlines for all work even when working on multiple projects
  • Show sustained effort and enthusiasm in quality and quantity of work
