26-27 AY Temporary Faculty Pool (Lecturer) - Lecturer in Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership

About the role

The position is a temporary faculty member for the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at California State University, Fresno. The successful candidate will teach courses in the doctoral program in Educational Leadership, focusing on areas such as writing development, critical qualitative inquiry, contemporary issues in higher or P12 education, dissertation writing, conflict management, executive leadership, and others as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and implement university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2.
• Prepare, deliver, conduct, proctor, and grade lectures, office hours, homework assignments, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams.
• Offer and meet all classes as scheduled throughout the entire semester, in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule of classes.

Requirements

• A doctorate in educational leadership or a closely related discipline with an emphasis in higher education, student affairs, community college leadership, or educational leadership.
• Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Professional experience in student affairs/Higher Education or P-12 educational setting.

Qualifications

• An earned doctorate in educational leadership or a closely related discipline with an emphasis in higher education, student affairs, community college leadership, or educational leadership.
• Experience teaching at the graduate level.
• Leadership experience within student affairs/Higher Education or P-12 educational settings.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Benefits

Compensation is commensurate by qualifications and experience within the salary range placement. The salary range for Temporary Faculty with a Master's degree is $5,507 - $6,677 per month when teaching full time (15 WTUs).

Pay

Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per academic term.

Schedule

Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice.
