About the role
The successful candidate will lead a team of housekeepers at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, contributing to the smooth operation of the facility and ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and tidy hospital environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage and motivate a team of housekeepers
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Experience in managing cleaning schedules and resources
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Valid driving license (for travel between sites)
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical fitness for manual labor

Pay
Salary range: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience
Schedule
Full-time working week: 36 hours per week
