About the role

Silver Birch of Mishawaka is seeking a Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services Team. This role involves keeping our community clean, safe, and welcoming for residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain community areas such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, and resident rooms
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks each shift
• Respect resident privacy, always knocking before entering rooms
• Use cleaning supplies safely and follow proper procedures for chemicals
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish to keep spaces neat and sanitary
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures
• Change bed linens and make beds as needed
• Collect and deliver resident laundry in a timely manner
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies at the end of your shift

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• Housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in work
• Friendly, respectful, and comfortable working independently or with others
• Willingness to work some weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed
