About the role

The JV Head Football Coach will be responsible for leading the junior varsity football team at Farmington High School.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive football program that aligns with the school's mission and values.
• Manage team practices, games, and travel arrangements.
• Work closely with the head coach to ensure consistency in coaching philosophy and standards.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding athletics.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of successful coaching experience at the high school level.
• Experience with youth development and positive youth mentoring.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sport of football and its rules.
• Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional needs of young athletes.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
