2028-2029 Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellow
About the role
This appointment will be in the 2028–2029 Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in Cardiothoracic Imaging. The position will always function as a trainee when performing cardiac MR interpretation and may supervise and teach residents and medical students. An additional component outside of the fellowship could involve providing independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as assigned by the Department Chair. Work may be carried out at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, UnityPoint Health–Meriter Hospital, and/or other radiology outpatient, outreach, or extended coverage sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform general radiology duties, including general imaging, on-call non-cardiac CT and non-cardiac MR interpretation, and on-call general radiology services.
- Function as a trainee when performing cardiac MR interpretation.
- Supervise and teach residents and medical students.
- Provide independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as necessary and as assigned by the Department Chair.
Work location
Position requires onsite work at a designated campus work location, which may include the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, UnityPoint Health–Meriter Hospital, and other radiology outpatient, outreach, or extended coverage sites.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year residency in Radiology.
- MD, DO, or equivalent terminal degree.
- State of Wisconsin medical license by start date.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology by start date.
Position details
- Employment type: Terminal (Fixed Term).
- Appointment: 12 months, full- or part-time at 50%–100%.
- Possibility of extension for an additional year.
- Position of trust with access to vulnerable populations; selected candidate must pass an initial caregiver check and every four years under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law.
Compensation
The starting full-time salary for the position is $90,508.
