2028-2029 Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellow
About the role
This appointment will be in the 2028-2029 Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in Cardiothoracic Imaging. The position will always function as a trainee when performing cardiac MR interpretation. The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students. An additional component of this appointment outside of the fellowship could be providing independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as necessary and as assigned by the Department Chair. Work may be carried out at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, UnityPoint Health–Meriter Hospital and/or other radiology outpatient or outreach sites and extended coverage areas as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Function as a trainee when performing cardiac MR interpretation.
- Supervise and teach residents and medical students.
- Provide independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as assigned by the Department Chair.
- Perform general radiology duties, including general imaging, on-call non-cardiac CT and non-cardiac MR interpretation, and on-call general radiology services.
- Work at non-UWHC sites as assigned.
Schedule
Full or part-time, 50%–100% terminal, 12-month appointment. Position is for one year with the possibility of extending for an additional year. Work must be completed onsite at a designated campus work location.
Requirements
- 4-year residency in Radiology.
- MD, DO, or equivalent terminal degree.
- State licensure and WI medical license by start date.
- Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology by start date.
Position details
This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
Compensation
The starting full-time salary for the position is $90,508.
