About the role

As an AbbVie intern, you will participate in a paid, eleven-week summer program, working on meaningful assignments that have a true impact on our business and patients. Human Resources Leadership Development Program Internship examples include Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Workplace Relations, Learning & Leadership Development, Talent Management and Business Human Resources. Assignments are carefully selected to provide a meaningful development experience, incorporating technical knowledge, analytical strength, and creative problem solving. Throughout the summer, there are planned in-person and virtual development and networking activities. Human Resources interns are assigned to our Lake County, IL location (north suburban Chicago) and supported by AbbVie-sponsored relocation and travel benefits for eligible students.

Responsibilities

  • Work on meaningful assignments that have a true impact on business and patients
  • Participate in planned in-person and virtual development and networking activities throughout the summer
  • Contribute to projects across areas such as Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Workplace Relations, Learning & Leadership Development, Talent Management, and Business Human Resources

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Masters program, with an emphasis in Human Resources graduating between Dec 2027 - June 2028
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Masters program for at least one additional semester following your internship
  • Previous internship in Human Resources or related experience required
