About the Program

The Insurance Rotational Program is designed for highly motivated college graduates with a desire to develop skills in leadership and professional acumen while learning how to contribute to the strategic progress of an industry-leading provider of automotive financing and insurance products. This program spans two years and consists of three 8-month rotations working alongside their peers at a company focused on culture, as evidenced in our 'Do It Right' mantra for our customers, communities and teammates.

Rotations & Teams

Insurance DRIVE General Rotations:

  • Sales - F&I Underwriting: Manages pricing for existing and new business to meet profitability targets, provides strategic support to Sales staff on structuring proposals to acquire and retain business, coordinates action plans to mitigate loss trends, authors proposals, and completes special assignments as required.
  • Sales - Products: Responsible for the development and management of Ally Insurance's F&I products. The team continually evaluates the marketplace to identify new, or updates to existing, products to support F&I growth. As opportunities are identified, the team will develop strategies to distribute those products and work with stakeholders to bring them to market.
  • Ally Dealership Insurance: Serves as the relationship manager for our Auto Dealer customers. Working with dealers to service accounts, assisting with policy endorsements, processing dealer renewal documents, creating product proposals, analyzing dealer risk, communicating pricing changes, and providing quote for new business acquisitions.
  • Operations - Business Insurance Systems: Responsible for understanding business needs, translating those needs into system requirements (stories), prioritization based on business benefit, strategic priorities and implementing those changes leveraging Agile, to iteratively delivery value to the business.

Insurance DRIVE Data & Analytics Rotations:

  • Data Operations: Involved with any data requests or projects in the insurance business. The team develops graphs, reports, dashboards, and presentations for all areas of the business and produce routine and ad hoc data extracts using SQL. They also identify data issues and conducts research to determine the best course of action for correction and identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. The team defines and test data requirements for all data related to insurance.
  • Acct Service & Support - Analytics: Responsible for managing all aspects of data and reporting for insurance sales at Ally. The team oversees a cloud data platform, providing top-line reporting solutions, business intelligence analytics, and industry and competitor analysis to key stakeholders across Ally's auto-related business. The team's goal is to drive growth by transforming data into actionable insights that lead to measurable results. They work collaboratively to ensure that insights inform strategic decision-making and ultimately contribute to the success of the business.
  • Ally Dealership Insurance (ADI) Data: Responsible for managing and reconciling data from varying sources, consolidating information into a usable format, and analyzing data for business use. Additionally, we analyze sales team performance and support process flows related to compensation. The team supports ADI strategy by delivering results that promote data-driven decision making.
  • Insurance Business Line Risk - Modeling and Advanced Analytics: Responsible for modeling the various aspects of dealer profitability and catastrophe risk, including developing the robust and interactive tools used to underwrite our dealer customers, and by providing the business with actionable insights to improve account and portfolio performance through clear, digestible reporting. The teams provide critical analyses and support of effective business decisions in line with our risk appetite and tolerance levels.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be graduating between July 2026 and June 2027
  • Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in various disciplines
  • Ability to start July 7, 2027 alongside other program employees
  • Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Proven success in a leadership role (class, campus, community)
