About the Intern Program
The BOLT (Building Opportunities & Learning Together) Intern Program is Kinder Morgan's elite summer internship program, offering hands-on experience in the energy industry while enhancing professional and interpersonal skills through meaningful projects that support the company's vision of delivering energy to improve lives and create a better world.
What You Will Do
While in the Procurement department, this position will offer the following experience:
- Shadow Fleet team members to gain practical insight into fleet operations and management
- Learn how fleet management supports Kinder Morgan's operations and contributes to overall business performance
- Analyze key fleet metrics and KPIs related to safety, utilization, maintenance, and operating costs
- Work with Fleet personnel to interpret data and identify opportunities to improve fleet safety, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Assist with day-to-day fleet management activities and support ongoing operational initiatives
- Gain exposure to fleet systems, reporting tools, and business processes
- Participate in projects focused on operational improvement, compliance, and asset performance
What You Need
- Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain student
- Intermediate level knowledge in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Excel pivot tables and data analysis is valuable in this role
