2027 2L Summer Associate - Real Estate
Ashurst Perkins Coie is accepting applications from second-year law students interested in joining the firm as a 2L Real Estate Summer Associate for the Summer of 2027.

Requirements
- Applicants must be a second-year law student in good standing pursuing a Juris Doctor at an ABA-accredited law school
- Demonstrated record of academic achievement and excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Experience that will contribute to a successful career in the legal field
- Interest in practicing law in real estate
About the Summer Associate Program
The Summer Associate Program is the primary path to full-time associate hiring at Ashurst Perkins Coie. Summer Associates receive meaningful, substantive work—research, drafting, analysis, and client-facing projects—alongside skilled attorneys and mentors. Activities include:
- Attending hearings, client meetings, depositions, and deal closings
- Working on pro bono matters
- Participating in professional development activities
- Attending social events to build lasting relationships across the firm
About the Real Estate Practice Group
The Real Estate practice represents national and global clients in complex acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, construction and development, real estate finance, and portfolio management across a wide range of asset classes, including:
- Office, industrial, retail, and hospitality
- Real estate finance and CMBS workouts
- Development work for mixed-use and emerging asset types (e.g., data center practice encompassing colocation transactions, hyperscaler leasing, and powered land acquisitions)
- Large, multi-site portfolios for corporate and technology companies
The team collaborates nationwide to deliver coordinated, practical solutions at scale.

Pay
In California, Illinois, and Washington State, the monthly compensation for this role is $18,750 per month.
