Job Summary
The Arkansas Regional offices of Kutak Rock LLP are accepting 2L applications for their Summer Associate Program. Summer associates will work with attorneys in the Kutak Rock Arkansas offices across various practices, including corporate and real estate transactions, healthcare transactions and regulatory compliance, general and complex civil litigation, public finance and tax. Summer associates will assist with research projects, drafting client memoranda, litigation-focused documents, and contracts. Kutak Rock attorneys try to include summer associates in experiences like attending mediations, court hearings, and depositions when possible. The Kutak Rock Summer Associate Program offers a real taste of the work that our full-time associates do after law school.

Responsibilities
- Work with attorneys in the Kutak Rock Arkansas offices across various practices, including corporate and real estate transactions, healthcare transactions and regulatory compliance, general and complex civil litigation, public finance and tax.
- Assist with research projects, drafting client memoranda, litigation-focused documents, and contracts.
- Participate in experiences such as attending mediations, court hearings, and depositions when possible.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor program.
- Enrolled in good standing at an accredited law school.
- Ability to obtain a law license in Arkansas.
Qualifications
- Strong academic record, including a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Class rank preference may be considered.
Skills
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
Benefits
The Kutak Rock Summer Associate Program offers a real taste of the work that our full-time associates do after law school. It is a 6-week program (either mid-May through end of June or early July through mid-August) and is fully on-site, five days a week with typical hours expectations from 8:30-5:00 CST.
Pay
Compensation for the Summer Associate Program is competitive and commensurate with experience.
