Overview
The Kitchen Staff members are responsible for cooking healthy meals for our campers. Food is served family style 3 times daily with breakfast at 8:00, lunch at 12:15 and dinner at 5:00. We strive to provide food that is made from scratch, using produce from our garden as it is available. We also accommodate various dietary restrictions and needs including those related to food allergies and lifestyle choices. We provide options for vegetarians and vegans. We are not nut free. We make fresh bread.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Know all food protocols.
- Use all equipment as intended and safely.
- Come to work in the appropriate attire (closed toe shoes, headgear, and shirt with sleeves).
- Auxiliary tasks during meal preparation and cleanup as assigned.
- Closing down the kitchen after the afternoon shift.
- Washing pots as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age and at least one year out of high school.
- Experience and familiarity with commercial kitchens.
Desired Qualifications
- ServSafe Food Handler Certificate
- Experience preparing food for dietary restrictions and allergens
