About the role

The Truck Driver Light will address customer needs, pick up and deliver parts for VDOT sites, and assist with inventory control. The position does not require a CDL license. This is an hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service including attention to detail, meeting and greeting customers, reviewing requisition forms for completeness, answering parts availability questions, asking appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided, informing customers when requested parts are available.
• Operate a forklift.
• Review, familiarize with, and adhere to the Product Group Catalog, Policy and Procedures Manual, and MANCON’s SOPs and Safety Manual.
• Parts pick‑up: drive vehicle to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts, provide required company documentation to vendors, review invoices for accuracy, and return products to MANCON location timely.
• Data entry: assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions and entering vendor receiving documents in the inventory system.
• Inventory management: assist in physically receiving vendor orders, performing weekly inventory cycle counts, and performing counts during wall‑to‑wall inventories.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience.
• Obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Delivery Driver experience.
• Auto and/or heavy‑duty truck parts experience.
• Inventory experience.
• P1 or P2 ASE certification.
• Ability to perform medium work: exerting up to 50 lb occasionally, up to 20 lb frequently, and up to 10 lb constantly.
• Physical activities include driving, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, walking.
• Work environment: storerooms and warehouses with uncontrolled temperatures, dirt/dust/damp conditions; also work in vehicles traveling to sites.
• Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Provide 24‑hour support at the VDOT location during emergencies.
• Assist with inventory research projects as requested.
• Adhere to required procedures.
• Assist Store Supervisor as assigned.
• Participate in the SCM continuing training program.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $13.00 to $19.08 per hour.
