About the role
The Inventory Manager supports warehouse and distribution operations within a high-volume Government logistics environment. They oversee inventory operations, manage employee tasks, and ensure inventory integrity meets contract standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock
- Conduct WMS inventories, research inventory discrepancies, and document gains and losses
- Ensure inventory integrity meets Acceptable Performance Levels (APLs)
- Plan and schedule workload for subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials
- Redirect workers and resources to accommodate daily workload fluctuations
- Provide workload data, estimates, staffing needs, and scheduling recommendations
- Ensure work is done according to contract terms and conditions
- Use WMS and other Government Data Systems to perform inventory requirements
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in inventory using DLAs WMS OR an equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years
- Secret Security Clearance required
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to drive and lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly
- Ability to reach, sit, stand, stoop, walk, and perform repetitive motions
