Description
Seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track teaching position in a junior high school special class for students eligible for the New York State Alternative Assessment.
Qualifications
- New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education (K-12 or 7-12) is required.
- Candidates should have knowledge of adolescents with significant learning and social needs, strong case-management skills, strategies for individualized academic and life skills instruction, and the ability to facilitate the building of independence through community-based instruction opportunities based on the NYSAA dynamic learning maps.
Attendance Requirement
Effective September 1, 2026, attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27 is required.
