2026-27 Probationary Special Education

About the Role

Seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track teaching position in integrated co-teacher classrooms at Rush-Henrietta Senior High School - Alternative Program (Grades 9-12), located at C.O. Webster Learning Center, Rush-Henrietta.

All classes in the Alternative Program are co-taught with a special education teacher and average 8-12 students.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of adolescent development and individualized instruction
• Utilize differentiated instruction and strategies for active student engagement
• Apply assessment for progress monitoring and planning
• Employ instructional technology effectively
• Exhibit strong case-management skills

Requirements

• New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education (Secondary and/or K-12) is required
• Attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27 is required (effective September 1, 2026)

Pay

Highly competitive salary, based on experience and graduate credits, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract.
