Anticipated: 1.0 - Probationary - Special Education Teacher - starts 2026/27

Position: Full-time, probationary special education teacher at the middle school level. Effective start date: September 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• Appropriate New York State certification to teach Special Education (Grades 7–12): Special Education {9010}, Student with Disabilities – Generalist Grades 7-12 {0086}, or Students with Disabilities (All Grades) {0254}.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers and supervisors.
• Proven ability to motivate and instruct students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success.

Pay

Salary range: $46,205 – $54,267.
