Anticipated: 1.0 - Probationary - Technology Teacher - starts 2026/27

1.0 FTE Probationary position located at the high school, effective September 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• Appropriate NYS certification to teach Technology Education (or eligibility for such certification)
• Demonstrated ability to work with peers and supervisors
• Ability to motivate and instruct students

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful experience teaching high school Technology Education
• Experience with Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Engineering curriculum
• PLTW certification/training in one or more engineering pathways (IED, POE, CEA, DE, EDD)
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, CAD, 3D printing, robotics, manufacturing technologies, and engineering design
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate project-based and inquiry-based learning
• Commitment to collaboration and interdisciplinary STEM instruction

Responsibilities

Teach Technology Education at the high school level, engaging students in project-based and inquiry-based learning, and supporting interdisciplinary STEM instruction.

Reports to the Building Principal. Salary per OPTA contract.
