Pay

Minimum Salary: $4,000.00
Maximum Salary: $4,000.00

Requirements

• Athletic Coaching License, 7-12
• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Must hold or have the ability to obtain an Athletic Coaching License from the New Mexico Public Education Department
• Must complete the Fundamentals of Coaching online exam offered through the New Mexico Activities Association
• Internal applicants must attach a signed Permission to Coach Form to application

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport (Major sports)
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of volleyball
• Commitment to examining new theories and procedures pertinent to the field
• Ability to serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training to achieve individual and team success
• Promote socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in student athletes
• Upgrade knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, and consultation
• Work with students interested in sports, providing practice support and advice for team success
• Teach and enforce rules and regulations of the sport
• Advise, coordinate, and support assistant coaches and middle school coaches in conjunction with the athletic director and respective principal

Schedule

Involves work in the evenings and weekends.

Work Environment

• On-site attendance is mandatory for this position

Reports To

The athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the high school principals.

To instruct 5th and 6th grade athletes in volleyball, fostering both individual and team success while promoting positive character development, self-discipline, and confidence.
