2026.2027 Strengthening Families Facilitator(s)

About the Role

Deliver the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) for ages 10–14 with fidelity, engaging youth, parents/caregivers, and families using a strengths-based approach. Create a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment for children ages 10–14 and their families.

Responsibilities

• Prepare thoroughly for each session, including completing required facilitator training, reviewing weekly lesson plans, and organizing materials.
• Coordinate session logistics, such as arriving early for set-up and assisting with clean-up afterward.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with coalition staff, co-facilitators, and coordinators, including participation in team debriefs and planning meetings and reporting concerns promptly.
• Complete documentation and reporting requirements, including attendance tracking, pre- and post-surveys, evaluations, and timesheets in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of SFP 10-14 Facilitator Training (required prior to facilitation).
• Experience working with youth and/or families in group settings is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, model positive behaviors, and demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as required by the program schedule.

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.

Pay

$30.00 per hour

Schedule

• Working days: 1 day per week
• Hours per day: 5 hours
• Temporary for the 2026–2027 school year
