The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a temporary part-time (0.6 FTE) teacher for the 2026-27 school year at their Northridge site.
About the role
This position is open to internal employees only for placement on Column 5; external candidates can be placed on Column 4. Additional pay opportunities include $5,000 - $14,000 annual stipends for hard-to-staff Special Education positions, $2,000 annual stipends for counselor, social worker, and teacher librarian positions, $3,000 annual stipend for advanced degrees, and $1,000 - $4,500 annual stipends for various extra-curricular activities.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned subjects to students in grades K-8
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum standards
- Maintain classroom management and student behavior
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in professional development activities
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- At least three years of teaching experience
- Knowledge of current educational theories and practices

Pay
$60,000 - $126,000 annually, with additional stipends available.
