2026 - 2027 School Year - EL Teacher

About the role

The EL Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction to students who are learning English as a second language, adhering to the curriculum and standards set by Robertson County Schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach English language development and academic content to students in grades PreK-12.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the district’s curriculum and state standards.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with other teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support the educational needs of students.
• Maintain accurate records and report on student progress to parents and guardians.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching license in English as a Second Language (ESL).
• Experience working with students who are learning English as a second language is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of best practices in ESL education.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
• Proficiency in using technology tools for instruction and assessment.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

The schedule is flexible and will be determined based on the needs of the school and the teacher.
